Overview: Breaking Down Post Purchase Order Statistics

Did you know that Zigpoll automatically tracks and correlates your average order value and total order value for each response? Well now you do. Let's talk about what these values are and how to view them.

First, setup a post purchase survey

Create a post purchase survey by selecting Post Purchase on step #2 of the create survey page. We recommend asking one how did you hear about us question to determine which marketing channels are working for you, another brand-specific question or satisfaction question, and a third open ended "catch all" question to pick up any additional information your customer wants to provide. Once your survey is live, you're ready to start collecting detailed data about your customers.

Viewing your data

Once you have some seed data, you can view the results by doing the following:

  • Log into Zigpoll and view your dashboard
  • Select your poll and navigate through to each slide.
  • If order data is available, it will be listed on the card below your responses

The additional data inlcudes two sections: Total Order Value and Average Order Value.

Total Order Value

This section tallys up the order total from all customers who have selected a certain response. For example each time a user selects Instagram from a How did you hear about us question, their order total will be added to the grand total and listed here.

Average Order Value

This section is the average order value from all customers who have selected a certain response. For example each time a user selects Instagram from a How did you hear about us question, their order total will be added to the grand total and then divided by the total number of respondants who selected Instagram.

Utilizing the data

Depending on the questions you ask, this data should help you determine the value of certain cohorts when it comes to their spending habits. This information can inform your budget and priorities going forward.
