Know what really drove the sale.
One question on the thank-you page, “How did you hear about us?”, answered by half your customers and tied to the order. See what pixels, UTMs and Ads Manager miss.
Zigpoll is the trusted feedback partner for 20,000+ companies.
Three Steps to Real Attribution
One-click Shopify install. Works with any website too.
“How did you hear about us?” with follow-ups already written. Edit the options to match your channels.
Every answer joins the order. Compare against Meta, Google and GA4 from day one.
Attribution Data Straight From the Source
Collected at checkout, tied to the order, reported without modeling.
One question, right after checkout.
The survey sits on the Shopify thank-you page, where attention peaks. That is why 50% of customers answer, in about fourteen seconds.
Branching follow-ups turn “Podcast” into “Huberman Lab” and “Other” into a typed answer, so you get the source, not a bucket.

Compare what customers say against Ads Manager and GA4 last-click, channel by channel. Meta over-claims, TikTok and podcasts under-report, and word of mouth does not show up at all.
Orders with no known source drop from around 38% to 4%, and every dollar is tied to a real order, not a modeled conversion.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is an attribution survey?
A single question, usually “How did you hear about us?”, asked right after a purchase. Because the customer answers it, it captures channels that pixels cannot see: podcasts, influencers, YouTube, TikTok, friends and family, retail.
-
Why survey customers when I already have pixels and GA4?
Pixels and UTMs only see clicks, and iOS privacy changes, ad blockers and dark social leave 30–50% of orders unattributed. The survey fills that gap and shows where platforms over-claim credit. Most stores run both and compare them in Zigpoll.
-
What response rate should I expect?
About 50% on the Shopify thank-you page, ten times the industry norm for surveys. Customers answer in around fourteen seconds. Offering a discount on the next order lifts it further.
-
Does it work with Shopify checkout?
Yes. Zigpoll is a native Shopify checkout extension, so the survey appears on the order status page with no theme changes. It also works on any website with the embed code, and on Shopify POS.
-
Can I add follow-up questions?
Yes. Branching logic asks a follow-up based on the answer, for example “Which podcast?” after “Podcast”, and lets customers type an answer under “Other”. You can add satisfaction, NPS or product questions after it.
-
Can I compare survey results with Meta and Google?
Yes. The attribution report shows survey-reported revenue next to what each platform claims, channel by channel, with the gap. Filter by date, product, country and first-time versus returning customers.
-
Where does the data go?
Every answer is tied to the Shopify order and customer. Sync it to Klaviyo, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Slack and 30+ tools, trigger Shopify Flow, export CSV, or query it with the REST API and MCP server.
-
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Zigpoll is free forever for up to 100 responses a month with no credit card, and you can upgrade any time as volume grows. See pricing.
